Boarding the 2026 Flight

From the Serpent's Shed to the Horse's Gallop,
explore the soul's journey through endings and new beginnings

A surreal and ethereal image capturing the transition from the Year of the Snake to the Year of the Horse. In the foreground, a beautiful, iridescent snakeskin lies shed on the ground, glowing softly. From within this empty skin, a spectral, galloping horse made of starlight and mist emerges, charging towards a vast, cosmic horizon. The background is a dreamlike landscape at twilight, with swirling nebulae in the sky.
The serpent taught us the strength in release.
The horse now calls us to the freedom of expression.
As we board the flight to 2026, we leave behind the weight of what was
and run towards the lightness of what can be.

The final boarding call for 2025 has been made. We find ourselves standing at the gate, looking back at the year we’ve just traversed.

It feels, doesn’t it, like leaving a terminal? A place where we arrived, waited, learned, and now, must leave behind to embark on a new journey.

Each year is a terminal; a transit point in the grand, cosmic itinerary of our lives. Some terminals are for brief layovers, others for long, transformative stopovers.

2025, for many of us, was the latter.
It was a terminal of deep, internal work.

The Serpent's Shed: The Quiet Transformation of 2025

In many Eastern traditions, 2025 was the year of the Wood Snake. And what is the serpent’s most profound act? It sheds its skin. It’s a painful, vulnerable, and solitary process. The old self, too tight and too worn, is left behind.

2025 asked us to do the same. It asked us to confront the versions of ourselves that no longer served us. It was a year of endings, of releasing relationships that drained us, of letting go of hopes that were not meant to be, and of forgiving not only others but ourselves as well.

It was a year of learning the art of letting go and understanding that release is an act of profound strength, not a sign of weakness or failure.

It is the courage to create empty space in your life and to trust that the universe will fill it with something that truly resonates with your soul.

If you survived 2025 feeling lighter, albeit perhaps a little scarred, you have successfully shed your skin. You have transformed.

The Horse's Gallop: The Wild Journey of 2026

Now, we step into 2026.

The Year of the Fire Horse. If the serpent’s energy is introspective and transformative, the horse’s energy is expansive, adventurous, and untamed.

The horse doesn't just transform; it acts. It gallops across open plains, exploring new territories, driven by a spirit of freedom and raw power.

The journey this year is no longer about who you are becoming in the quiet dark. It’s time to express who you now are in the bright light.

The new skin you grew in 2025 is ready to run. This year calls for exploration, for taking action on the dreams you conceived, for galloping towards the horizons that once seemed too distant.

It may feel wild, even chaotic at times, but the horse is also a creature of incredible endurance and loyalty. Stay true to your course.

A New Kind of Resolution: The Vow of Being

As we stand on this threshold, the question arises:
Do we need a New Year's resolution?
Perhaps. But not the usual kind.

Forget the list of external achievements. This year, let's make a different kind of vow:
a vow of being.

Instead of:
  • I will get a promotion
  • I will be rich
  • I will lose weight
  • I will find love
Try:
  • I will be more present in my work
  • I will be kinder to my body
  • I will be a more loving person
Focus on the state of your soul, not just the state of your life.

The external world is a reflection of your internal state. Cultivate the inner qualities you admire, and the external results will follow naturally, as a byproduct, not a goal.

Finding Your Own Time Grid

We live on a spinning rock, divided by time zones. Someone is waking up while someone else is going to sleep. Our souls operate on a similar principle. We each have our own internal time grid.

Your pace is not my pace.
Your season of blossoming is not mine.

This year, release the pressure of comparison. Stop looking at other people’s clocks.

If you are in winter, rest.
If you are in the spring season, plant.

Your journey is uniquely yours. The only timeline that matters is your own.
Find your rhythm, honour your pace, and trust that you are exactly where you need to be on your soul’s map.

The Rainbow After the Rain

Finally, as we board this flight to 2026, let us carry with us the most profound promise: the rainbow after the rain.

The challenges, the tears, and the shedding of 2025 were the rain. They were necessary. But a rainbow cannot exist without both the rain and the sun.

The sun is your hope, your faith, and your enduring spirit. Keep shining it, even when the clouds gather. Because when the rain of life meets the unwavering sun of your soul, something magical happens.

A bridge of colour appears; a promise of beauty, a sign of hope, and a reminder that after every period of difficulty, there is indescribable beauty waiting to be revealed.

So, fasten your seatbelt, fellow traveller. The flight to 2026 is departing.
It’s time to explore, to gallop, and to be. Let's make this journey count.
